Is there a way to skip a line when inserting cursors ?

I'm sorry but I can't seem to find a way for what I would believe a pretty basic use case:

x cursor here
x no cursor here
x cursor here
x no cursor here
x cursor here
x cursor here

Self explanatory ? Obivously I'm not talking about usning <c-n> here to select the cursor words, I'm saying put a cursor at the start of the lines, but only for 4 of those 6 lines.

Event better would be maybe just a cursor here command ? \\\ seems described as doing that but doesn't appear to work. Also manually inserting \\ each time you want a cursor in this case seems like a lot of work

Ok I figured it out ! It's a bit tricky to understand at first and feel like it would deserve a line at the beginning of the docs !

1. Do not use hjkl to navigate as this will shift all cursors.
2. Insteand Use arrow keys, but without pressing Ctrl at the same time as not to add additional cursors.
3. To avoid having to use \\\ to add you can also remove the extra unwanted cursor with Q.

Note about \\\: it does work (obviously, lol), but if you \\\ then hjkl you are still shifting the cursor you just added under your current cursor so you won't notice it, and then pressing \\\ again would exit VM mode which could lead to some confusion 😉
