Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When running the gui you won't receive debug etc messages which are printed to console. Some of these may give the user information that is helpful but it's not intuitive to check the cli window. Ideally the logging methods could be refactored to print to a pane in the GUI when running in gui mode.
