I've used InstumentKit for my instrument handling. One feature of InstumentKit that I've enjoyed is base instruments, like base power supply. This ensures that I can run my experiment with any power supply, provided it can supply the voltages and currents my experiment requires. Is there any plan for such a feature in QCoDeS? Would you be open to PRs that attempt to remove the reliance on a specific instrument in favor of base instruments? I can see how this might go against the exactness in experiment setup that QCoDeS enforces, but the flexibility and reusability your experiments gain is nice.
I can see that work has gone in to Abstract Parameters in #3213, which seems similar to this, but I'm unclear on that.
