Requirements for maps posted at URLs

Can we please have some guidance on the security requirements around these URLs? For example, do the URLs need to be publicly available? Or are credentials passed from PBI to the URLs to facilitate authentication (and if so, how)?

Is it possible - with the current capabilities of the PBI custom visuals framework - to enhance the Drilldown Choropleth so it would pass authentication information to the URLs? This would allow us to secure the map files.
