Can anybody inform me if the tried and tested geographic coordinates transformation libs GeoPandas and/or PyProj are going to be available in Excel through the Anaconda cloud?

Hi @veetrp , thanks for the request. GeoPandas is in our current list of new libraries we want to add that we are exploring.

Any particular shp files, regions you need for your scenarios?

Hi @keyur32, thanks a lot for your feedback! And good news. I am not interested in a specific shp file or area. I am interested in the coordinate transformation lib https://github.com/pyproj4/pyproj which is wrapped in the GeoPandas lib. I can do all my coordinate transformations in QGis and/or Python. But I would like to prepare an excel wb with which my users can transform coordinates in excel for some popular transformations.
Thanks for working on this. Let me know if you would like to have a small csv file that I use to benchmark the coordinate transformation. It is in the NorthSea area and involves datum transformations, e.g. ED50 to WGS84, ETRS89 etc
