Children button disabled or absent when there aren't children

Can we disable (visually make it fainter or something) or remove the children button if the card doesn't have children?

Unfortunately, I can't do this out of the box because I'm actually only getting the children when the button is clicked, not before.

I could get all the children on load, but for a large tree that would double the number of requests, and would probably slow things down. I'd rather hold off for now
