Analysis of Air Pollutant Emissions in Seoul: A Comparative Study Between 2017 and 2019

This study investigates the trends of air pollutant emissions (CO, NO2, O3, and SO2) in Seoul, South Korea, between 2017 and 2019. The primary objective is to determine if there is a correlation between the increase in these emissions and the associated global environmental and public health issues. The research is divided into two phases: 1) a broad analysis to identify overall trends, and 2) a deeper exploration of the relationship between NO2 and CO emissions. The findings of this research highlight the significant impact of air pollution on the region and provide valuable insights for developing effective mitigation strategies.

Key Findings:

Comprehensive Analysis: The initial phase of the study involved a comprehensive analysis of air pollutant emissions data for Seoul during 2017 and 2019. NO2 and CO Correlation: A strong correlation was found between NO2 and CO emissions in Seoul, especially during specific seasons within the study period. Improved Linear Model: A refined linear model has been developed to better capture the relationship between these two pollutants.
