The ongoing research deals with the development of an automated risk-mitigation tool for construction projects, namely the Mitigation Controller (MitC). MitC is a state-of-the-art tool that can assist project managers to have a full grip on the progress of their running construction projects. It takes as input a complete project schedule and returns several outputs that help the project manager take actions to prevent potential delays.

Project description

The project has been granted support from the TU Delft Digital Competence Center (DCC) to a maximum of 340 hours. In general, the support will be provided on two full days (16 hours) per week.

Objectives

  1. Create a Graphical User Interface for the existing code base in MATLAB. The GUI will be principally used in education at the TU Delft.
  2. Expand the project data capabilities of the code base.
  3. Implement FAIR principles and software development best practices.

Roadmap

Start date: 19 October 2020
Projected end date: 12 April 2021

The figure below shows the general raodmap for this project. The number of weeks is indicative and will be adjusted depending on the project needs and availability of the working group.
