Transient head boundary condition

Is there a way to add stress periods into the flopy.modflow.ModflowBas? That is I have a different initial head condition for each stress period (the head moves for each t)?

I was trying to do the following but it only allows an array, strt_periods contains the data for the heads. I might be approaching the problem wrong, so any input is appreciated, thanks.

You would need only one array of initial heads for the simulation (shape (nlay, nrow, ncol)). For transient stress periods the initial head is the head resulting from previous SPs.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but I'm trying to simulate a moving bedform, I calculate the head at the top row using a function dependent on x and time, so I need it to also be reflected in later time steps. Let me know if I'm not being clear enough.
