Copy content from one profile to another

I wonder if it would be plausible to implement a feature where you can copy content like mods from one profile to another when both have the same mod loader as base.

Most of the time when a new Minecraft versions gets released, I find myself in the same annoying position where I need to screenshot a list of all my mods from one profile, create a new profile with the same mod loader but a new version and then add all mods manually from the list of mods in the previous profile. It would be awesome if a profile could be copied to a new version and the client would match the latest versions of the installed mods automatically for the new Minecraft version, if possible,. If some mods could not be matched in the new version - i.e. because they were not ported yet - there should be a list of failed installations or something like that.
