1) Please describe the steps to reproduce the situation:
a. install rubyripper 0.7 git.
b. delete all config files and let rrip create a new one
c. rip some CD
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected would be to get a 1:1 copy of my CD - but I only get files containing
aprop. 1 second of music. Everything works fine with 0.6.x
3) What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system? The
gtk2 of commandline interface?
I tried the gtk2 interface in this case.
4) Is this not already fixed with the latest & greatest code? See for

5) Does the problem happen with all discs? If not, please attach
Yes, happens with ALL discs.
6) Please explain why this change is important for you. Also, how many
users would benefit from this change?
This is too obvious to comment on :)
Please let me know how to debug this and i can upload relevant information.

0.7 git works fine here with the exception of flac-1.3 which does produce 1 sec
files (flac-1.2 is fine in 0.7
might want to clear up a few things in your description
0.7 isn't "installed", only run from RR's bin folder
rrip* isn't used in 0.7
