changing the package and publish packages

Hi!

If i want to override the properties of the pack and publish task, do i have to register a new task?

if so what do i put instead of "name"? cause the task name is usually generated

No, you can modify existing tasks via tasks.named() apis

Yes, pretty much. That's standard gradle way of extending/configuring tasks. You can even drop .configure bit and just invoke it like tasks.named("taskName") { configuration here }
