Vikram Sharma is a Research Assistant at IMPACT research group and guided by Prof Wen-Mei, Hwu. Prior to this, he was an employee of Intel Corporation and LSI Corporation(Currently called - Broadcom). His research interests spans over hardware designed approach to make ML/AI algorithms more efficient, less power hungry, reliable and democratize AI in every devices everywhere in our lives. He loves working at the intersections of SW/HW stack across ML/AI, computer architecture, Near Memory computing and Genomics.
+I am a Research Assistant at UIUC IMPACT Research group advised by Prof Wen-Mei, Hwu. Prior to IMPACT, I worked at Intel Corporation and LSI Corporation on AI/ML IP accelerators, Functional Safety architectures for Autonomous Driving, Genomics and DDR/Flash Memory controller designs.
