flow_mode unexpected type for Chromecast

Hi, I don't know since when, maybe since latest update to 2.4.0.rc2 I can't change anything in the setting for the chromecast players quiting when saving always with folowing message:

I just wanted to turn of flow_mode...but not possible. Even when I don't change anything and just click to "save" the message appears.

Another issue inRC2:
I use chromecast entity created in MA (media_player.chromecast_dg_2).
I check the displayed cover of track on TV AND in HA app using minimediaplayer.
On TV cover changes every track change but on HA App it displays the cover from the 1st track and didn't get updated after next track.

When I use the chromecast entity for the same chromecast but from the cast integration (media_player.chromecast_dg_3), the cover is changed and displayed correctly.

I can’t reproduce that using a Google Mini or a Sony TV with RC4

issues with cover:
it works now in minimediaplayer but only with Chromecast entity created by HA MA, and NOT when playing a folder with e.g. "media_id: filesystem_smb--xxxxxxxx://folder/Music/Hits"

AND: Now the covers are never displayed in the Chromecast entities created by Cast or UniversalMediaPlayer Integration at all.

still problems with RC5 and RC6 is following situation:
(btw it worked (except for folders) before RC2 or so....)

Playing in MiniMediaPlayer with entity of UniversalMediaPlayer (UMP) and MA-Integration is now same behavior, but:
Playing....

Folders: no covers (I play folder with "media_id: filesystem_smb://folder/Music/Hits")
Playlist: no covers
Album: only album cover (cover.jpg) but not individual covers of tracks
Radio: shows covers correct

is ok when playing albums, but when playing playlists I got individual covers before RC2 (or so..). And it would be nice also to get them when playing folder

Sorry individual embedded thumbs was recently removed to fix a different issue that was affecting a wider group of users.

I think there is a misunderstanding here...
What has changed is that we prefer an album thumb over an embedded thumb - that is done to make a unified experience when you're playing albumtracks. But we still use and support embedded thumbs.

So, if a track has both an embedded thumb and the album also has a thumb, we will choose the album thumb over the embedded one.

Now I know the problem because I played around a bit:
Example:
Folder Hits has mp3s, which all had the id3 tag album=Hits. This was my workaround to play folders before the playing folders feature was introduced. I also had a cover.jpg in this folder.
After removing the cover.jpg I thougt I must see the individual covers which was NOT the case (I see no cover at all).
But after deleting the ID3 tag "album", I see now all the individual covers again.

So I would suggest following:
If cover.jpg is available in folder --> show this for cover
If no cover.jpg available in folder --> show embedded covers (regardless wether ID3 tag album is empty or not)

OR (even better)
Introduce a "priority button" in settings for either embedded covers or for folder-cover.jpg.
