I'm not fully certain as to if this was overlooked or not. I could understand why it would be wanted, but a boolean toggle for this would make more sense in my opinion for those with the use case of wanting to balance hearts without punishing new players in a world.
In my testing I also noticed that the minimum health a player can have is 1 due to the attribute system in Minecraft, so let's just call that a feature.

upon reading the code i realize the second part of my statement was incorrect and it was properly computed, good catch
