Is it possible to go into maintenance per module?

Suppose I have the modules:
User
Profile

I want the Profile module to go into maintenance and that warning page with code 503 appears.

that's not currently possible but its a nice idea to build in.

I very much believe so. It would also be good if it had support for Redis or any other messaging service.
I'll try to develop a solution from scratch but I'll be careful if there's any support for this one day.
