What?
Any of these would probably solve the issue:

  • Fork/update/fix the example repository
  • Integrate the relevant parts of the documentation into openmct (i.e. "here's how to install third party plugins")
  • Remove references to unsupported/outdated third party plugins

Why?
The KSP example mentioned in the documentation (as added by this PR: #1160) is out of date particularly with regards to the packaging and build process of openmct, but listed as "a practical example of a telemetry adapter".

Who?
I was hoping to use it as a working example to start playing around with, as part of a DDR.

@davidhyman check out https://github.com/nasa/openmct-tutorial which walks through a very basic telemetry adapter using the new telemetry APIs.

We’d love it if someone could bring the Kerbal plugin up to date but can’t tackle that ourselves. We will update the plugin status on our website to better reflect the current status.

We are working on improving our plugin documentation as providing better instructions for deploying openmct with plugins and hope to share that with the community soon.

Just wondering, what is your definition of a DDR?
