Prioritize Weekly Active DAOs and Weekly Active Users #1
Comments
It is also not clear how "Active DAOs" is calculated. Is that a DAO which has been interacted with in the past week? Month? Year? |
Hi @starpause! Active DAOs are calculated based on any actions performed on a dao(apart from its creation) since the astro dao creation. So right now as you can see there is a total of 308 DAOs there and only 238 of them had any actions performed(proposal creation, voting etc.). We're open for a feedback and can update the way any of the metrics we already have is calculated or add new ones. |
Hi @starpause! We've addressed the 1st part of the enhancement in the latest release. Now the 'Active DAOs' section is on top of the General page: and shows the weekly data. As for the 2nd part - 'Weekly Active Users', I'm going to create separate issue here to address it in the next release. |
@okalenyk "since the astro dao creation" sounds more like total ever, so it would definitely be preferable to have "active" be within a timeframe. Most DAOs are active on at least a monthly basis to do payouts so lets change "Active DAOs" to "Monthly Active DAOs" by default. |
@starpause, thanks for the feedback! So should it be average monthly active DAOs count, or number of active DAOs within the last month? |
- set default view to active DAOs on general page
#1 - Prioritize Weekly Active DAOs and Weekly Active Users
Can we make Weekly Active DAOs the default view under "General Info"? It's a more meaningful number than the total # of DAOs (which is a number that always goes up). It would also be nice to have this number computed per week rather than per day. The current graph is noisy to look at and we're concerned with WAD/WAU rather than DAD/DAU.
Under "Users and Activity" please add Weekly Active Users and make it the default view when clicking on the tab. Again, it's a more valuable statistic for us to track than total number.
