ATTENTION: Before using any IBM Blockchain on Bluemix plan, you must read the technical and support information in Disclaimer. {:shortdesc}
The {{site.data.keyword.blockchainfull}} on Bluemix® service consists of three blockchain network plans. The latest plan, High Security Business Network (HSBN) vNext Beta, is built on the Hyperledger Fabric v1.0 code base and leverages a modular architecture to deliver new functionality. IBM Blockchain on Bluemix plans enable developers to immediately write and test chaincode applications, without having to design and configure a private blockchain network. Chaincode is the engine behind the secure and efficient exchange of assets on Fabric blockchain networks, and the permanent recording of these transactions on the ledger
New IBM Blockchain on Bluemix subscribers can now enroll in the HSBN vNext Beta plan. This latest offering is built on Hyperledger Fabric v1.0, which provides next-generation security, integrity, scalability and performance. Table 1 describes the Bluemix plans:
Table 1: IBM Blockchain on Bluemix plans
Bluemix Plan | Status | Available to New Subscribers | Hyperledger Fabric Version |
---|---|---|---|
HSBN vNext Beta (1) | Beta | Yes | v1.0 |
HSBN (2) | GA | Yes | v0.6 |
Starter Developer (3) | Beta | Yes | v0.6 |
(1) The High Security Business Network (HSBN) vNext Beta plan provides an easy mechanism to join Bluemix Orgs and build a distributed blockchain network.
(2) The High Security Business Network (HSBN) GA plan provides a highly-secure, single-tenant LinuxONE on z Systems environment, with code isolation using IBM Secure Service Container.
(3) The Starter Developer Beta plan provides a multi-tenant development only environment.
Table 2 provides a detailed comparison of the IBM Blockchain on Bluemix offering plans. New IBM Blockchain on Bluemix subscribers must choose the HSBN vNext Beta plan. The HSBN and Starter Developer plans are closed to new subscribers, but remain supported by IBM:
