Im on Galaxy S21Fe (netbird 0.0
23) and my
Download speed is 0.2Mbps
Upload speed is 4.3Mbps

On macbook i get 100x download and 2-5x upload (newest netbird)
Same with windows (newest netbird)
(Hotspot with same phone)

When using plain old wireguard app on my phone, my download and upload are both good

Unsure how to fix or where to report?

Hello @TheChemicalWorkshop
How did you do the speed test? Are you using exit node feature or any other route settings?

Hello @TheChemicalWorkshop How did you do the speed test? Are you using exit node feature or any other route settings?

I selfhosted openspeedtest.com on my home server (proxmox)
Im running a container with netbird that shares my home network using network routes feature
Network range: 192.168.178.0/24

The speedtest ip is 192.168.178.9
The server hosting netbird is 192.168.178.3 (it has its separate netbird ip ofc)

Same groups and permissions on android, macbook and windows, yet different speeds

I also tried truenas (netbird not directly installed, but shared as above) copy via sftp
Excellent speed on macbook
Unusable speed on android

Could this be related to #26 ? I am facing similar issues after switching from S10e (Android 12) to S24 (Android 14) - loading pages available via netbird is terribly slow. Did not have time to get logs from client/server but I could provide some.

Unsure but could be, my setup is a little bit different (not using as exit node)
But only happens on android
Wifi/4g make no difference

This is the same issue I'm getting in the referenced issue. I also set up openspeedtest and I'm getting terrible download but my upload is fine.

Update your server to latest version, I have same phone as you and another (Galaxy S24 Ultra) and I dont have theese issues.
Could also be misconfiguration in your setup.

netbird on pc/server is 0.30.0
netbird on s21fe is 0.0.24 (netbird app) 0.28.0 (netbird io) the newest version on github is however v0.0.23
i have no clue what is going on

This is an issue for me too. Same issue on 3 different devices. I've been considering subscribing to a paid subscription but this issue is horrible and preventing me from moving forward with Netbird.
