- Add at least one image to the top of the article. This will serve as the header image. You can include as many additional images as you want in your blog post. Make sure that these are included at the right position in the text
- If people are named in the text (guest speakers etc.), please include a full URL to their personal / lab homepage that can be linked to their name
- If you are reporting about a conference, add a section "Contributions by MSNE students" or something similar at the end of the article, and list all applicable papers/posters/talks. Again, if you have links, please include them
- Add your and your co-authors names to the end of the article, as well copyright-owners of any photograph or figure used in your post. Before using pictures in your post, make sure you are allowed to use it!
Submitting articles for the MSNE blog is possible in two ways, depending whether or not you have a personal Github account.
- Head to Google Docs and create a new document.
- Write your blog post and paste all images at the right position into the post. This includes the title image that will appear in the header! Note that a post is required to have a least one (the title) image.
- Use formatting sparingly. In particular, please limit yourself to different headings, bold and italics print. Everything else won't make it into the post
- Post the link in the #blog channel in the MSNE Slack workspace.
- Fork this repository into your Github account
- Add your article to the /content/post directory, using Markdown syntax
- Stick to the naming convention
YYMMDD_title.md
- Create a folder in /static/img named
YYMMDD_title/
and put all images in there. You can reference them in your blog post by![Image caption](/img/YYMMDD_title/img_title.extension)
