I have set up a new history node and synched it up to the head without indexing (=false in client.toml)
When I change the client.toml to enable indexing, the client crashes after 30mins without any errors in the log (trace), there are also no system errors.
The db is around 60GB.
For reference the node is very powerful and the storage is on an iSCSI target on the local network (with very good tested performance).
