I've been using socket.io-stream for streaming objects in Godsend. Once I fully grokked everything, I got socket.io-stream working well without any major issues so far. However, an alternative is https://github.com/maxogden/websocket-stream but it's not based on socket.io.

There is SAP which forked this repo and added some features. Maybe, we can use this for presumable future.
