should it have any attributes different from the Drift space?

Do you need different elements like HMonitor, VMonitor similar to MADX? Or would a single element Monitor enough?

Maybe an axis (or direction) attribute, which could have the values horizontal, vertical, both?

Example:

"NAME": ["Monitor", {"axis" : "horizontal"}]

Implemented in my nobeam/latticejson/tree/add-markers-tom branch. Works now for my lattice extracted from MongoDb.
