Are you using an emacs package/command to open these links? Does browse-url-xdg-open work for you?

Magnet links: finally I managed to make it work. Your browse-url-xdg-open question put me on the right track to diagnose. I can copy and open them.
E2k links: They are not even detected. No copy and no open is possible.
BTW, should not Torrent/eMule link support be listed in the readme?
