Aims & Objectives

These modules provide walk-through instructions for setting up R on Windows, MacOS and Linux. At the end of the walk-through, you should be able to:

  • get R up and running
  • use R with the IDE

References/Inspiration

Format

  1. Explanation of what is R and IDE
  2. Installation process for Windows (with text and video content)
  3. Installation process for MacOS (with text and video content)
  4. Installation process for Linux (with text and video content)
  5. RStudio basics

Three modules:

First modules - covers 1, 2, 3, 4
Second modules - cover 5

@cynthiahqy Do you have any good resources for using R with VScode?

@KrisanatA hold off on VSCode, just do RStudio. Positron (VSCode extension) was just released and it might make more sense for us to add that to the guide once it’s stable and skip DIY VSCode altogether.
