"Unhandled exception. Value cannot be null" when I try to download BFGMiner through installer #429
Comments
In the directory create a folder called "Miners" and in that folder create a folder called "bfgminer". Then put bfgminer files in it. |
Thanks for the reply! I'm afraid I tried that and it didn't work. Any other
suggestions?

+1 same issue - the manual install did not really work |
Have the same issue on macOs 10.14.6. I tried to put the bfgminer files to the /Applications/MultiMiner.app/Contents/Resources/Miners/BFGMiner folder, but it didn't help |
Manually download 16 bit arch bfgminer (important 16 bit) and follow FearTheHorde suggestion...for me worked. (dectails here https://bit.ly/3ef7T1P ) |
I'm running Windows 10 and tried to 64bit version from http://bfgminer.org/ but was getting an error on version number after adding it to the Folder... I downloaded the 32bit version and copy/pasted into the folder (deleted the 64bit files first). It now scans my hardware and found my video card, however, it still says I'm trying to set this up with Binance Pool and was able to manually enter in the Pool information afterwards in the settings, clicked Start Mining and away we go. Hope this helps! |
Full log as I am having the same issue

Wait, what are we using MultiMiner for at this point?
If the project is as dead as it seems, it's just a hardware scanner with extra steps o.o |
Hello! I've seen a lot of other people reporting this error, but none of the other solutions have worked for me so far. I've temporarily suspended firewalls and other antivirus from Windows (Windows Defender) and other antivirus software. I've also tried downloading BFGminer from the main website and extracting it directly into the MultiMiner folder.
Total beginner here, so all advice is appreciated. Thanks!
