The instructions seem to be out of date for Ubuntu. I can't install bfgminer with apt-get install, so I installed bfgminer manually.
I tried copying the entire install directory for BFGMiner to a subdirectory in subdirectory Miners. Then I made a symbolic link to bfgminer directly in the Miners subdirectory.
I could guess like this for days. Does it need to be on the path?
Best Regards,
Allan

Same here.
Do you want us to copy/paste the bfgminer app into the same folder or how do you want to "detect" it?
Not clear based on the installation guide... well the install guide says nothing really, so I'm clueless.
How to set up mminer so it sees the already unzipped bfgminer?
Both miner in separate folder, on a disk, NOT in user profile. I've added exclusion on windows defender for a folder specifically to work in for both miners, so they are in a separate location.
Also changed (you should change by default) the log files to be put in the same folder where mminer resides. You should not work in appdata and other user's folder since miners are non-standard applications, due to security issues. As such, you just creating a lot of extra issues with access problems like this on other folders.
And you didn't mention in the wiki guide that we need cgminer as well. Why?
I've put both bfgminer and cgminer into the multiminer folder. They both use the same libraries so cgminer overwritten the bfgminer files (library I assume). That might not be an issue for them, but multiminer now again says bfgminer not detected, no similar message regarding cgminer.
Did the owner abandon this project though? I should go look for another miner maybe...
