String variables with categories do not account for variable width

• Create a SPSS file with a variable of type String having a with < 8 characters
• Import the file into Opal

Opal throws an exception reporting invalid character.

The problem when reading the category name, the reader reads 8 bytes regardless of the width of the variable and therefore, all the null characters (\u0000) are considered invalid characters.
