The external API which drives the guest experience should be a separate, stand-alone app.

The ideal API will allow every action to be performed from authenticating via Github (oauth flow) to creating and reading streams. It should be possible for the guest experience to be just a layer on top of the API which had zero knowledge of internal APIs.
