Related Registration Issues?

xUbuntu 20.04 with xfce desktop

[1] I can right click on a mp3 file in Thunar and select to open it in mpz. The app window opens but the track hasn't been added to a new playlist, the current playlist or anywhere else.

[2] I use gPodder and this allows be to select a media player but mpz isn't on the list of players. There are lots of others just not mpz.

Yes.

On reflection, it could be create a new playlist or add to the current playlist. Either one would do but a choice would be excellent.
