The Socrata Location data type is a legacy data type that has been superseded by the Point data type. Some functions that do not support Location are convex_hull() and within_polygon().

I have updated the wiki to include both the Point and Location data types. Currently anyone who needs to geocode from an address will still have to use a Location data type. If a lat/long are available, a Point data type can be used.
