Keep uploads running in background when navigating

Currently when you start uploads and navigate away they get canceled. This should not be the case. Instead, the upload status should be persisted, and the uploads should keep running in the background. Hard navigation (onbeforeunload) should be prevented. The status should be displayed in a small window on the bottom. Clicking that window should bring you back to the uploads page.
