You can install the extension directly from the Chrome Web Store:

Download the extension files from the GitHub repository.
Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/.
Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
Click on the "Load unpacked" button and select the directory where you downloaded the extension files.

Once installed, the extension will automatically prompt to open in Apple Maps when using Google Maps.
