Allows mounting of sensor on floor.

I don't understand the requirement. Doesn't this happen when the ADXL355 sensor is calibrated?

Turn off the device
Mount it in a particular orientation
Turn on the device
The ADXL355 will be calibrated in that orientation.

Not to my knowledge.

I thought the calibration only remove the offset from each axis. It doesn't specify which of 3 axis is 'up'.

Ill double check.
