QField Plugin crashes UI of QGIS Project Settings

Hi QField developers,

we recently updated your QField Sync Plugin to the currently available version in the QGIS Plugin Manager - v4.10.1.
In our office we use the following QGIS version - 3.28.15-Firenze under Windows 10.
Unfortunately, the new QField Sync Plugin crashes the UI of the QGIS Project Settings somehow (see picture):

Although you can still define QField-settings in this weird overlay UI, it does not save them and does not respect them during the QField cable export.
We observed this bug at all our QGIS instances. This is the corresponding QGIS stacktrace:

Is there a way to repair this issue without upgrading the QGIS version (as this will happen just in a few months at our company)?

The bug was triggered as the QGIS Project was created under within an older QGIS version :)
In QGIS projects that were generated from version 3.28.15-Firenze on it does not occur anymore
