Proposed: Summary Track from selected start-stop point

Problem

Sometime we need to know our activity resume from spesific track point

Proposed Model 1

• Click to set Start Point and Stop Point, then it will show resume from Start to Stop.
  • Cons: If the we have repeat track like circle around, it is too hard to set point because of multiple track within single click.

Proposed Model 2

• Use slider to set start-end point.
  • With this, we can know and set start e.g., first repeat or second repat.

Suggestion

Model 2 looks good solution, we can also cover some cons in first model. Also, we can use this model selection type for another feature in the future like:

• Spliting track (e.g., we want to split activity)

I just saw this issue, maybe because it's closed so I missed it. Actually I have similar idea about having aggregate data for selected record, let me respond the the two model that you proposed:

Model 1: I assume the selection is on the map, yes it's nearest impossible to get the selection right since one road can have multiple records at different timeline, for example, we can run in circle like in stadium.

Model 2: This is possible and actually similar with slider in trim/conceal in Tools, we can add new feature just to do the selection and show the aggregate for the selected records, but we need user to select options "All records" or "Per Session", since if we aggregate different sports, the result may not what we expected. For instance, cycling speed is way faster than walking, isn't it?

I will open this issue and mark it as a proposal, let's review it again later. Nice catch!
