There is no reason the OMF should adopt or promote a single standard for interoperability, especially at this time when such standards do not really exist and potentially useful APIs are in active development. However, if an organization like the OMF can identify and recommend a limited number of useful and actively supported approaches for model interoperability, and if model developers clearly and explicitly document which approach they take, it should significantly improve the potential for model coupling. |

Models with standards can be shared and reused. However, models based on different standards still cannot be shared and reused easily among different model frameworks. For example, models with standard A can not be interoperated with standard B. Here we have a primary idea for this question (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envsoft.2021.105164). If OMF only has one standard for the model, we should consider how can we interoperate with outside standards. If not, the interoperation protocol among standards in OMF should be discussed.
