Non-existent signup link leads to a confusing experience

The "Join the Community" button here points to a link to a form that seems not to exist. (The same link is used elsewhere.) Worse, it leads to a confusing and time-wasting experience because Typeform doesn't return a 404 Not Found but a 301 Redirect to a their sign-up page and legal forms.

The official website has been openplanetary.org for a while now.

Good question @michaelaye !

A reminder: our old openplanetary.co domain name was acquired after we released it and moved to .org, and it was hacked by malicious people, putting up fake website.

Not sure which old URL you tried I went to https://openplanetary.github.io/community/, which is still online and shows no obvious sign of not being a functioning web page. Is that not generated from this repo and therefore under your control?

I mentioned the URL when I originally tried to report it, but the email bounced (issue #14).

I don't recall how I found it. Possibly a web search.

That one doesn't redirect; it returns success, as this low-level check confirms:
