This role provides a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Computational Biologist to join the Open Targets Core Team on a fixed term contract for three years, to develop and maintain the Open Target Genetics (OTG) (https://genetics.opentargets.org/) pipelines, following best practice standards and generate code that is ready for production.

This role will involve managing and processing very large datasets in an efficient and reliable manner, and integrating diverse types of genetic and genomic data in Open Targets Genetics with the ultimate aim of identifying and prioritising targets for drug discovery. In order to develop and maintain efficient pipelines for a regular release cycle of Open Targets Genetics and for external users to run their own data through the pipelines, you will need to ensure streamlined and well documented, standardised code.
