No attestation from Alice Calendar Server #60
Comments
Does this error happen consistently or sporadically?

Hi,
I stamp the document hashes with multistamp method using multiple calendars. Recently, the hashes timestamped do not have alice's attestation. On trying to connect to the alice calendar server, received '**Received fatal alert: handshake_failure**' error. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this issue. Thanks.

How old is your Java version? The difference between Alice and Bob is that Bob
uses a RSA certificate for SSL, and Alice uses an ECC certificate. Really old
versions of Java might not be able to handle that.

Thank you for your response. We use Java 11. |

What distro are you running it on?

OS distribution is CentOS 7 |
Thanks. CentOS 7 was released in 2014, and will EOL in 2024, so it's probably old enough that it missed the ECC key upgrade.
Let's Encrypt now enables ECC keys by default, so this probably happened when I upgraded Alice a few months ago.
What are your plans for upgrading CentOS?
