IOHDIXController possible implementation

Hello,
I would propose a way to implement a IOHDIXController. If I got the point, it is used to mount img and dmg images (right?)

Somewhere is possible to find some studies about the DMG format, for example https://www.newosxbook.com/DMG.html

My proposal is about, if it could work, use some parts of the code of open source project macfuse to reach the objective.

Yes, it's an abandoned project, but the code seems, apparently, to not use mac specific libraries, maybe it's compatible with raw darwin. The work to do would be about the implementation of DMG format.

Anyway, I don't know if it could be a complete solution for a IOHDIXController substitute. I'm just trying to help with brainstorming. I know that this is not simple in any case.
