How to support multiple domains, including ETHDNS?

Hey,
I have verified the main domain for our project in the walletconnect explorer.
My problem with this is that I can't get it to work on staging builds or on ETHDNS domains like eth.limo

This is not great because I would like my website to be primarily an ipfs/ipns domain but this seems to be incompatible with walletconnect v2.
To make matters worse, if the verification fails (which it always does outside main domain) it automatically forces a pop-up with the walletconnect modal.

Let me pick domains that are mirrors in the explorer and that pass verification even if there is no DNS verification for those domains.
