How to override the deeplink for MetaMask?

Hello,
I have a problem on iOS where trying to open the MetaMask in one signature refers the user to the App Store page for MetaMask as opposed to opening the app that is installed on the users device.

Is there a way for me to change the URI scheme for MetaMask in the the web3modal lib? I want to try to change the deeplink to include dapp:// as a start as per this answer: MetaMask/metamask-mobile#3965 (comment)
