Changing to this, though, must be done in a backward compatible way (basically to ensure that upgrading from the I'll add the If someone is interested in working on this, please add a new comment mentioning it, and we can create an issue to target for the work. |

Chocolatey Version
1.1.0
Chocolatey License
No response
Package Version
4.3.12
Current Behaviour
I'm using Chocolatey in combination with Intune. But I can't install Paint.net this way. Probably because it displays some additional windows during a chocolatey only install. Maybe it's time to switch to an MSI install (instead of .exe /auto install)?
Expected Behaviour
No additional windows on install. so a complete silent install
Steps To Reproduce
Use Microsoft eindpoint manager (aka Intune)
Try to install Paint.net using a chololatey wrap ( an intunewin file containing install scripts, that execute "choco upgrade paint.net -y" from the company portal app. (note the target machine already has Chocolatey installed on it due to dependency rule)
after some time the Company portal says that paint.net is not installed.
Environment
Chocolatey Log
Anything else?
If you execute "choco upgrade paint.net -y" from the command line, Paint.net will be installed, but not compleet silent. During the proces a progress bar wil appear.
At the moment, I use the MSI file to do the silent install, so not with Chocolatey.
