Share feedback flow is painful

1. You have to get to the home 🏠 screen. This can take a whole bunch of taps on its own, and not always in the same place, but eventually this was a tap in the lower left corner
   
2. Now you have to guess that you should go to your profile 👤. Why? Dunno. It's a tap in the lower right corner
   
3. Now you have to guess that you should tap the cog ⚙️. This is the upper right corner
   
4. Now you're looking at Mobile issues, so you guess that you can tap the ➕. This is also in the upper right corner
   
5. While you were looking at the mobile discussion a moment ago, that category context is now lost
   
6. So you get to scroll down to Mobile (down and left again)

This is not faster than putting community/community on the home screen, which I did ages ago.

I do not expect to use this flow ever again. I'm using it because it was advertised in a blog.

Sorry for the late reply @jsoref. I agree that this is a painful process involving many steps, do you have any suggestion about how we could make it better?

Makes sense! I think one solution would be to follow the same navigation pattern as in the iOS app, where the bottom navigation bar is always visible to the user.

Whether you go with the button bar at the bottom or a sidebar, having something that's always available would definitely address a number of my complaints. This app has a really high nesting level and being forced to use back repeatedly is very painful. It doesn't help that the back button is often an "up" button and doesn't actually match the users stack. (I need to report that too, but....)

Offhand, I'd favor the hamburger (≡) because you have the entire home screen worth of things I'm likely to want to jump to and collapsing the home screen to a sidebar makes perfect sense to me. But either would be an improvement over the current state.

We are right now exploring what it could take to bring a persistent bottom navigation bar to the Android app. Hopefully we can find an easy way to build it, and ship it soon.
