Restricting login using personal github accounts on github enterprise cloud

We have requirement where we need to restrict the login to github using personal account on organization provided laptops, to ensure security. Currently it is a SSO enabled login and after logging out user is allowed to login through personal account. Is there a way to restrict this?

I don't work for GitHub sadly! I haven't heard anything else about the feature yet, nor have I had a chance to test this out with my existing EMU client, but I will hopefully have us opted-in to the private beta in the new year.

@queenofcorgis Hi, Do we have any update on this? We're also GitHub enterprise users and this is truly disappointing. This feature should have been implemented way back to secure code from personal accounts for enterprises. Google workspaces, Microsoft entra & even Slack has this feature.

I heard from a reliable source that the tenant-based restrictions are coming to EMU public beta early in the new year. Possibly as early as end of January. Once again, I don't work for GitHub, I'm just relaying what I've been hearing from folks inside GitHub.

Thank you everyone for the patience and for checking back in here. One way to handle this is now in public preview with access restrictions for corporate proxies approach, view the changelog to learn more.

Another approach is GHEC with data residency, because these GHEC tenants are hosted on a unique subdomain, it’s much easier for you and your company to understand, differentiate, and control work vs. public GitHub.com traffic. We currently have GHEC with data residency available for the EU and Australia, read our doc to learn more if this applies to your location.
