Gettiing Error: Failed to resolve provider packages while running tofu init

Hi folks,
I am newbie to the world of opentofu and just getting my hands-on around this fab tool. I have created a really small config file to deploy some resources in Azure, and it was working all fine until yesterday.

But, today whenever I am running tofu init it is throwing me below error:

tofu init

Initializing the backend...

Initializing provider plugins...

• Finding hashicorp/azurerm versions matching "4.3.0"...
  ╷
  │ Error: Failed to resolve provider packages
  │
  │ Could not resolve provider hashicorp/azurerm: host registry.opentofu.org requires authentication credentials_

Below are the content of my file

terraform {
required_providers {
azurerm = {
source = "hashicorp/azurerm"
version = "4.3.0"
}
}
}

I tried deleting the entire directory in which my files were there and then created a new directory and ran the same comand but no luck. I tried googling it but nothing much on the internet either.

Could anyone please be kind enough to help me in this.

Thanks for reporting this, I believe this is due to you attempting to use OpenTofu from a country which we have blocked access to. You can find more information at the links below.

@apurva-pathak7644 this error isn't related to the registry (see the hostname), you seem to have problems connecting to GitHub itself for the purposes of downloading the provider binaries. For some reason GitHub's download server doesn't seem to let you connect.

@apurva-pathak7644 I believe so, we won't be able to debug this on the OpenTofu end any further.

For some godly reasons, it has started working now.

tofu validate
Success! The configuration is valid.
