Portainer and compose files in an external path

Portainer stores the compose files in /data/compose

Is there a way to use an external path so portainer use that path for the compose files instead of duplicate them?

    container_name: Portainer
    image: portainer/portainer-ee:latest
    <<: *config
    networks:
      eth1:
        ipv4_address: ${portainer_ip}
    ports:
      - 8000:8000 # http
    # - 9443:9443 # https access
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock
      - ${dockerdir}/Portainer:/data
      - ${dockerdir}/docker-compose:/data/compose/4/dbe07a060c7e104e58c3b163eb75c3f3b0ba2897/docker-compose
    environment:
      - TZ

Would something like this work? or is there a better way?

Hey, we don’t recommend changing the data structure of the Portainer server. While this approach might work, it could introduce more issues than it solves.
