Objective:

beaconDB is an open location database of cellular, WiFi & Bluetooth beacon around the world. It is a drop-in replacement for Mozilla Location Services (MLS) which is discontinued now.

The database is enriched by volunteers around the world. This can be a used to improve & speed up location fixing complementing GPS.

Reason:

For devices running unrooted stock Android from Google/OEM, there is no option to change location provider after disabling Android's WiFi & Bluetooth scanning for quick location fix.
